Elm Side Cabinet From Shanxi - 19th Century Coffee Tables cylindrical formThis graceful antique Chinese side cabinet is from Shanxi in Northern China & dates to the Qing dynasty (16441911) and the 19th century. This style of cabinet is often called a round corner cabinet and the style was first seen in the Ming dynasty. This style of cabinet was a staple in Shanxi province and would have been used both for storage of scrolls & clothes. The cabinet is constructed from northern elm wood ( yumu) and would have been lacquered
